We teach a variety of both California State Fire Training and Industry Rope Rescue training programs. Some of our Industry training programs are offered at variable course hours, with the curriculum and length of course customized to meet industry-specific compliance measures and site-specific needs.
California State Rope Rescue Awareness/Operations
This course will prepare participants to undergo competency testing for low & high angle rescue. The scope of the program is to familiarize participants with the low/high angle environment and experience; and for them to safely participate in the engineering and operation of simple to complex rescue systems.
Length: 40 hours
Prerequisites: Pre-Course Work (On-Line) IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 & IS-800
California State Rope Rescue Technician
This course will prepare participants to undergo competency testing for high-angle rescue. The Rope Rescue Technician training program familiarizes participants with the high-angle environment and experience and allows participants to safely participate in the engineering and operation of simple to complex rescue systems. This program builds on the skills acquired in Low Angle Rope Rescue, Rescue Systems 1 and Rescue Systems 2, and culminates the advanced Rescue Training program.

Prerequisites:
Before participating in the course students must confirm eligibility by performing one of the following: Provide Rescue Systems 1 Certificate (prior to Jan 1, 2010) or Provide Rescue Systems 1 Certificate (after Jan 1, 2010), or provide Rescue Systems 1 Task Book Rope module signed by a registered SFT instructor AND Low Angle Rope Rescue Operational Certificate, or Rope Rescue Awareness/Operations Certificate.
Industry Rope Rescue Operational
Designed for specific industry challenges, including low-angle and high-angle rescue situations. Students are exposed to manufactured engineered systems and methods for using rope, webbing, hardware friction devices, and patient packaging devices. Areas covered include rope and related equipment, anchor systems, safety lines, stretcher lashing and rigging, mechanical advantage systems, and single-line and two-line rescue systems. The extended-hour courses provide participants with more opportunity for skills training and scenarios.
Length: 16, 24 or 32 hours
Industry Rope Rescue Technician
This course will prepare participants to undergo competency testing for high-angle rescue. The Rope Rescue Technician training program familiarizes participants with the high-angle environment and experience and allows participants to safely participate in the engineering and operation of simple to complex rescue systems. This program builds on the skills acquired in Low Angle Rope Rescue, Rescue Systems 1 and Rescue Systems 2, and culminates the advanced Rescue Training program.
This course is taught at industry-hosted locations using real low-angle and high-angle rescue scenarios.
