California State Rope Rescue Technician

This course will prepare participants to undergo competency testing for high angle rescue. The scope of the program is to familiarize participants with the high angle environment and experience, and for them to safely participate in the engineering and operation of simple to complex rescue systems.

Courses include State Fire Marshall’s Office Certification and Manuals.

Prerequisites:
Rescue Systems 1 (2009) and Low Angle Rope Rescue Operations (LARRO)
Or Rescue Systems 1 (prior to 2009)

Required PPE:
Helmet, Gloves, Safety Glasses, Safety Boots, Long Sleeve Shirts, Long Pants & Full Body Harness (Class III)

California State Confined Space Rescue Technician

This course is an intensive hands-on training program that will prepare students to respond to confined space emergencies. Course will cover identifying non-permit / permit required confined spaces, the hazards associated with confined spaces, target hazards, state and federal regulations, components of a rescue operation, and the roles and responsibilities of the rescue team.

Dates: April 22-26, 2019
Class Times: 0800 – 1700

Prerequisites:
Confined Space Rescue Awareness

Required PPE:
Helmet, Gloves, Safety Glasses, Safety Boots, Long Sleeve Shirts, Long Pants, Full Body Harness (Class III) & SCBA With Spare Bottle.
