Our Industry/Public Safety Respiratory Protection Training Program includes both classroom and hands-on training. This training program is offered at variable course hours, with the curriculum and length of course customized to meet industry-specific compliance measures and site-specific needs.

Students are trained as to why respiratory protection is necessary and the consequences of improper fit, use, or maintenance. Training will also address the limitations and capabilities of the respirator; how to effectively use the respirator in emergency situations, including respirator malfunction; and how to inspect, put on, remove, use, and check the seals of the respirator. Students will also be instructed in maintenance and storage procedures, the general requirements of the Respiratory Protection standard, and how to recognize medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent effective use of the respirator.

The extended-hour courses provide participants with more opportunity for skills training and scenarios.
